TPN wants to provide you with the latest news about local, state, and national programs and initiatives to end violence in our communities.

The phrase “man up” is often used to express the perceived definition of manhood – showing no weakness and not expressing emotions. However, there’s more to manhood than being tough. Our partners at Mary Kay are working to change the definition of “man up” to include one where men treat each other and women with respect.

As survivors of sexual violence on our college campuses come forward, the spotlight turns to the fact that too many colleges and universities are lacking policies about this issue. They do not provide adequate training for students, faculty, and staff, and do not address a culture that minimizes the danger of sexual assualt for college women.
